Evan grew up in Holland, MI, and after 5 years of living and working in Philadelphia, PA is ready to come home to the mitten. He attended Central Michigan University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness and Preventative Rehabilitation, and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Duke University.
Evan has been practicing for 5 years in outpatient orthopedics near the world famous “Rocky Steps” or Philadelphia Museum of Art. During those 5 years, Evan became certified in Manual Physical Therapy through Evidence in Motion and became a Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. He has broad experience in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions across all age groups. Some of his specialities include treatment of headaches, TMJ, neck pain, lower back pain, and post-op return to sport rehab and sports performance training. Evan is a certified running gait analyst and enjoys working with runners on getting back to pain-free running.
Despite all these specialties, Evan’s one true passion in PT and life is the sport of Golf. Evan is TPI certified and hopes to pursue a career where he can focus on Golf injury rehabilitation, and Golf performance training. It is no secret that the game of Golf is getting longer, and the further you hit the ball, the lower your scores will be. Evan plans to employ an evidence-based approach to identify the specific movement impairments that may be holding back your swing. He will help you develop the necessary strength and mobility to bring your game to the next level. If you want to be the low handicap of your group and want to fix your swing, you need to fix your body first. Evan will help you achieve that.
Outside of Golf, Evan enjoys playing and watching Football and Basketball, and despite being in Philadelphia for 5 years, he remains a Detroit sports fan through and through. He also has spent a lot of time this past year practicing Yoga and applies a lot of these principles in his work with clients. Evan also enjoys spending quality time with his newlywed wife, Lauren Rae, and their dog, Mayday.
